Introduction to the SwiftChat platform

SwiftChat is a platform developed by the team at ConveGenius Digital India Pvt Services Ltd. The platform allows the users to build, use and discover chatbots through its various offerings for end users as well as businesses.

What are chatbots?

Conversations have been one of the first and most powerful forms of interaction for humans. Some of the first innovations in communication technology such as the telephone were based on conversational interactions between humans. We, not only understand each other through conversations but also express ourselves through the conversations that we have with the people around us. It is the most natural way of interaction around the world. That is why Conversational interfaces are a powerful way to create a customer-centric engagement with users. Using chatbots, companies and businesses can provide instant, tailored, two-way conversations through human language.
A chatbot or a bot is software that simulates human-like conversations with users via text messages on chat. Users can message businesses in the same way as they message a friend and can avail their required services by interacting with the chatbot.

What does the SwiftChat platform provide?

The Swiftchat platform consists of two parts, one of which is focused on the end user and the other one that facilitates the developer. The end user platform lets any user use and discover the chatbots while the developer/merchant side of the platform is mainly used for the development and hosting of chatbots for the end users. Features of both parts of the platform are detailed below.

Versions

The SwiftChat platform launched its v2 release at the beginning of May 2022. The major goals and focus of this release were to make chatbots discoverable on a dedicated Discover section, to provide greater capabilities to chatbots by introducing a wider range of components to use in bots, and to provide APIs to businesses who wish to host their bots on our platform.

The features and components of the SwiftChat platform that will be elaborated on in this document are specific to this release. Upcoming releases of the SwiftChat platform and components will be appended as and when they become available.
